3 Easy Ways To Make Your KDP Books Stand Out
Closing My Paid Newsletter!
Thank you for being part of Royalties on Demand Pro! I created this newsletter to help you learn more about Amazon KDP.
However, it's been tough to keep up with writing these newsletters along with my other projects like creating YouTube videos and managing my KDP and online businesses.
I kept making content for this newsletter, but the response hasn't been what I hoped for. These newsletters take a lot of time to create, and that time takes me away from my family and other work.
So, I've decided to close the paid newsletter to focus on other parts of my business that are doing well.
In the future, I plan to create a course, and anyone who has paid for the newsletter will get a discount. If you paid for a full year, you will get a refund. If you haven’t received it within a week, please let me know.
Even though the paid newsletter is ending, you can still direct message me anytime with questions.
Thanks again for your support!
3 Easy Ways To Make Your KDP Books Stand Out
Making your book stand out on Amazon is not easy, but there are three smart ways to do it: being first, being the best, or being different.
The first way to stand out is by being the first to write about a new or trending topic. When you're the first, you can grab people's attention before anyone else does.
To do this successfully, it's important to stay updated on what's happening in the world and what people are beginning to get interested in. Tools like Google Trends can help you see what topics are becoming popular.
Here’s an article I wrote about using Google Trends for KDP.
For example, when AI started trending and became very popular last year, a smart author wrote a book called ChatGPT Millionaire about making money with AI.
Since the author was the first to the market, the book became an instant hit! Even though many copycats have tried to do the same, this author made the most money because they got there first.
However, being first can be risky because the trend might not last, so it's important to do your research before jumping in.
The second way to stand out is by being the best.
When your book is the highest quality, people will recognize your brand as the standard.
This can lead to a loyal group of readers who will buy your books whenever you release something new.
For instance, a coloring book company like Coco Wyo has become popular because they consistently produce high-quality books.
They also use advertising, have a professional website, and engage with customers through platforms like Etsy, Facebook and Instagram. Being the best takes time, effort, and investment, but it can make your brand very strong.
The third way to stand out is by being different.
Being different means creating a book that stands out from others in the same category.
This could mean combining different topics to appeal to more people, offering more content than your competitors, using unique cover designs and formats, or even creating translations of popular books in other languages to reach new markets.
For example, you might take a regular animal coloring book and turn it into a mix of animal mazes and crosswords, or you could create a German version of the book to sell in Germany.
I wrote this article a few weeks ago in the newsletter to help you create translations.
Being different can definitely attract attention, but it doesn't always guarantee success.
Sometimes, people may not be interested in something different, especially if they prefer what's already familiar to them.
If there's no demand for the unique twist you're offering, your book might not sell as well as you'd hope.
However, if you find a way to offer something unique that people actually want, being different can be a very successful strategy.
Conclusion
Whether you choose to be first, the best, or different, you can succeed on Amazon KDP if you have the right plan. Each approach has its own pros and cons, so it’s important to know what you’re doing and be creative in how you go about it.
Once again, thank you for joining me on this exciting journey.
Have an awesome week ahead.
