How One Book Made Me $65k+
Publishing a book that becomes a bestseller is exciting, but keeping it popular and profitable over time is the real challenge, especially with growing competition and copycats.
Here's how I've managed to keep my top-selling activity book earning consistently, recently crossing over $65k in sales.
Below are the simple strategies I use to maintain steady sales:
1. Regularly Add New Content
Great content attracts customers. For my activity books, I regularly add new puzzles and update existing ones.
Updating my books annually (particularly around Q4) keeps the content fresh, appealing to customers seeking the latest versions. This continuous improvement helps the book stay relevant and engaging.
2. Update Your Book Cover
Your book cover is your first impression.
Every few months, I review my covers to ensure they're appealing and eye-catching. Regularly refreshing the book cover makes it stand out, keeps it relevant, and consistently draws new customers.
3. Adjust Backend Keywords Seasonally
Backend keywords influence your book's visibility on platforms like Amazon.
I research seasonal trends and update these keywords to align with what customers are actively searching for. This targeted approach ensures my books remain discoverable throughout the year, increasing visibility and boosting sales.
4. Build an Email List & Collect Reviews
Inside the book, I offer readers a free downloadable PDF with additional bonus content in exchange for their email addresses. This strategy helps me build a valuable email list of interested customers.
Through emails, I regularly communicate with readers, sharing updates about new books, helpful content related to the niche, and special offers. Additionally, I gently encourage satisfied readers to leave reviews. These reviews build strong social proof, helping attract new customers.
5. Run Effective Ads
Since publishing my book, I've continuously run ads, using four main types:
Lottery Ads: Test multiple books at a low cost per click to find which attracts more clicks.
Automatic Ads: Let the platform find relevant buyers based on algorithms.
Manual Keyword Ads: Target specific search terms customers use.
Manual Product Ads: Show ads directly on competitors’ product pages.
By consistently optimizing these ads, reducing the cost-per-click and turning off keywords that aren't profitable. My advertising efforts have become increasingly profitable.
Final Thoughts
Staying successful with your books involves continuous improvement, adapting your content, covers, keywords, and marketing strategies.
Apply these tips and you too can maintain consistent sales and stay ahead of the competition.

There’s a lot of copycats but I love the idea of always updating the book every year to stay relevant and be engaging
This is what I'm tired of listening same things again and again
